Apologies for nasty cameraphone pics!

  • Thanks for the photos Alan - I've often pondered what my TQ blacks look like under the hood. I was expecting some exotic construction/braiding but it looks like regular multistranded copper to me...

How does Colin do it?!  :D
  • Magic! :-D
  • To be fair, and in case anyone is too swift to jump to conclusions, the picture tells you nothing about the alloy used, or the cable construction / relationship between materials / insulators (dielectrics) / geometry going on inside there. I've used regular multistrand copper wire in my system, and I've used much better. They was all bested by the TQ blacks.
  • Pardon my ignorance Alan but what's a Z plug when it's at home?  Is it like a normal banana plug only fancier? :-)
  • Jim, They're 4mm speaker plugs but not as we know them...

    Splined 4mm banana plug:

4mm solid plug with split pin:

The Z plugs have less mass, and give the best (and largest amount) of contact between plug and socket IME.

  • Good price, I sold a pair last week for £45
  • All sorted, thanks!  :)
