Woody Allen

edited July 2013 in Other stuff
Watching the documentary on BBC1. A well put together piece about a brilliant comic.
In fact, if I'm honest, I prefer the work of my favourite comics to that of my favourite musicians. Once I drop below my favourites though, I feel music suffers mediocrity more favourably than does humour.

  • Imagine has been good lately - I enjoyed Woody as well. His parents being interviewed explained a lot!

There was a staggering Imagine a few weeks back about McCullin, the celebrated war photographer. It has certainly stayed with me a good long while. It has a lot to say about humanity, and it's capabilities (to both extremes).

Don McCullin is a very interesting man as well as a great photographer, and the programme brought a lot of him to the fore. I only wish they'd made a two parter. I could have watched much more.

The other programme in the series about a photographer was great too. Did you see http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b0366jd5 ?

And, I must admit, I enjoyed the one about Rod Stewart.
