Anyone using Pro Tools?

Just reading this thread over at Computer Audiophile. 

The original poster claims it sounds better than Amarra. But so does Decibel, doesn't it?

    Not more insane, but as I said some time ago, software is just like messing about with cartridges. 

    I have different software installed on my server, just like people have a drawer full of cartridges.

    I didn't make moiself clear loik.
    I suppose I meant maddening, or driving one towards insanity.

    My real question is, it possible (from a sanity point of view) to sustain BOTH TT and computer audio obsession simultaneously.

    I have no idea. 

    One issue may be the sheer financial drain of maintaining two top-end front ends.

    I've used Pro Tools but never to rip CD's. It would be a right faff to use for ripping CD's and as a music player.

    I've used Ableton for DJing duties (using music ripped with iTunes) but I've never compared the sound vs Amarra or iTunes......
