I got one because my transformers hummed a lot and often (for a few minutes several times an hour). The DC blocker reduced the humming to very occasionally (a few minutes once a week). The closing down of the local light industries at the end of my road to make room for the widening of the Gloucester western bypass has reduced the humming to almost never (a few seconds monthly?)
