New TT gadgets

I've been on the search for a while for a high quality polished brass Record stabiliser for use with my TT's but is it just me or are the prices pretty shocking?  I've decided to do something about it myself and a local factory specialising in machining high grade medical kit agreed to manufacture one for me.  I'm that pleased with it that I've decided to add it to RFC's product list at a real world price of £49.95. 500g of pure billet brass, mirror polished with two grooves equidistant spaced on the edge as I'd like to experiment and see whether rubber damping rings make any difference (they also help grip).  Should have them available in around 6 weeks. Felt base so they won't damage the LP surface.

Having finished with one gadget, it got me thinking about another!  I never seem to make it to the TT (especially if out of the room) to prevent the needle making it into the run-out grooves and sometimes bashing the inner label which always fills me with dread when I think about what I paid for the cart, so I looked for some sort of automatic riser a la the now defunct Audio Technica one.  The ones I have seen sell for ludicrous used prices of over £150, so again, decided to do something about it.  Well I found just one high quality unit world wide!  It's a handy little gadget of exceptional quality that can be used with just about any TT without affecting sonic performance that automatically lifts the tonearm out of harms way when the stylus gets to the end of the last track.  Both my TT's will be fitted with one. If I like it, and it proves reliable then I have agreed to become the sole EU distributor and will also be stocking that on the RFC website, pricing tbc, but it will be significantly cheaper than the used models doing the rounds.

Ideas made into reality. If you have any ideas about stuff like this, why not share them and lets see what can be done!
