All fine - amp has made a miraculous recovery & I enjoyed a nice cuppa with Richard & Nadia. We couldn't discover an issue with the amp at all, save that it won't power up with the original fuse rating - it needs beefier fuses now! Surprised faces all round, one very relieved one, and no real answers. It has been fine with it's original fuse up to now...
