Neil Young claims Steve Jobs' death has delayed lossless downloads

Comments

  • I remember Young claiming years ago he didn't like the then current state of digital - he was referring to CDs. The Zim said much the same though probably more eloquently :-))
  • Probably at greater length, anyway :D
  • Also true
  • Yes, maybe later now. It will be very interesting to see what Apple becomes without such a visionary at the helm. Let's hope the new guy is a music-lover.
  • hi fellas ,
ive not been posting here for while , hope you are all well and listening to lots of lovely music.
its a bit OT but i recently saw Neil young on a tv programme (on bbc 4 if remember correctly), he mentioned that he would often hang out with mr jobs and that mr jobs mainly listened to vinyl at home,as does mr young , digital was for 'on the move' ,
odd that one of the main driving forces to get lossless digital out there was such a vinyl head , perhaps he too found that cd quality digital sound was simply not up to task and that lossless hi rez digital was essential for the future of reproduced music at home, but, in the mean time mr jobs would choose to spin the black stuff .
    :-?
