Having just watched it back, I've made a couple of minor changes and edited the link to the Youtube clip in the OP.

(Just in case, the new link is

  • It is a Job to open a Window to the world of Ugly Music, but The Beatles did it.
  • Fantastic work  =))
  • Quite hilarious!!! Not often I crack a smile (I stopped with that nonsense a good while ago) but that genuinely made me giggle.
  • Cheers. :-)
  • Well done, had a few giggles watching the vid.
  • Thanks for the positive feedback everyone. I couldn't get the missus to understand why I was spending a couple of hours on it, so it's gratifying to know from you peeps that it wasn't time wasted! :-)
  • Very funny Ben!

Too much time on your hands my son

Even more time soon - seems almost certain that I'm to made redundant at the end of April. Nothing to do with 'the cuts' - it's a result of Michael Gove's political choice to devolve the money for centrally organised support services (in my case behaviour) to schools.
Not good for me obviously, but not good for my pupils either - school's are unlikely to spend their devolved money on my old pupils as they don't represent good vfm.
    Thank you Michael Gove.
As I said at the meeting with GCC HR yesterday, "it's not the cuts, it's the c*nt".
  • I'm very sorry to hear that Ben.

    Doncha love politicians?

That is really bad news Ben, for you and the kids. I cannot see how this will result in any improvements in the care and teaching these pupils need. You can't even 'follow' your pupils and job into the private sector, from the look of things.

Gutted for you Ben, and worried for the kids' future. Maybe a school will specialise in this field? Perhaps you could work for them? - Just a thought.
  • It's possible that I could play Gove's game. There are plenty of things I could do privately if schools are willing to pay. I'm well known in the county so have something to trade on. I'll start to put out feelers in the new year.
I am worried about the most vulnerable kids in Gove's brave new world. Market forces will have some beneficiaries I'm sure (the best schools and the best kids) but some losers too I fear... There will be some schools and some kids that will be truly crushed, and failed.
Those of us who chose to earn our crust through public service are genuinely concerned by these Tory muppets.
  • Really sorry to hear that Ben.  It seems that politicians have been making all sorts of madcap decisions of late and many without the expected democratic mandate in some cases.  Unfortunately short termism and desperation seem order of the day and the government are failing to take the long term view on many important social aspects of community support, from the NHS through to policing and schooling.  I do hope that between now and then you manage to find something deserving of your talents.
