Naim sbl foam gaskets

Has any one any details, of the gasket material and suppliers of self adhesive sheeting to make the gaskets,

for the sbl speakers .also the silicon to apply,

Naim want over 90 pounds for a kit

  • Back tract in time to "The Flat Response" Chris Frankland did a detailed review and he describe all the detailed construction of the SPL's. not sure what year.
  • £90 you have to be joking.  Most gaskets are just high density foam in thin round sheets.  I wish they would make them of rubber as its ability to seal a joint is so much better than foam.  When did you last see a foam gasket in plumbing?

    I would personally buy some flat sheets of thin rubber and cut my own and as to silicon - I wouldn't apply it especially to mdf as if u have to remove the drive unit the silicon will take chunks out of the MDF and be difficult to remove to make the surface nice and flat to reapply the bass driver.
