Amarra

Keith (@coops) was generous enough to give me a two-week license to try Amarra.

Unfortunately, it doesn't like my storage being out on the network and won't play any of the files :-(

@Alan. I know you have a NAS of some sort. Have you managed to make Amarra work?

  • Hi Dave,

I just said goodbye to relatives after a lovely weekend, so I haven't been experimenting for a while. After I got the amp back I broke one of my SSP interconnects, but was able to fix it all by myself wiv' solder an' everyfing! I am pretty proud of that - sad eh?

So I am just chuffed the system is working properly again, and that it sounds pretty damned good. I will try to install the Amarra thang this week sometime.

    Have you tried a re-boot?

    :-"
  • Dave Hi, whats the problem with Amarra? You can simply drag files into it or select from finder or ITunes.
    vb Keith.
  • See my other reply for more about the problem.

I've tried dragging from iTunes and it doesn't work. I'm not sure if I tried dragging from the Finder. I'll try that.
  • Dave I am sure you have tried it already, but have you tried just highlighting the tracks in ITunes, or making a playlist?
    Keith.
  • The former, but not the latter.
