Talk Talk & Mark Hollis

edited January 2018 in Rock/Electronica etc
Old news granted, but I only came across this today.

The article in the Graniad is a nice read and quite enlightening, and those involved in the tribute seem enthusiastic and respectful.

Did anyone hear it?

  • I have to admit to not appreciating the final two albums on their release.
    A revisit is overdue.
I still play the first three regularly. I'll approach the covers thang after reaquainting with the originals.
  • How funny Alan that you've posted this. Talk Talk have been the theme of Crimbo and 2018 so far for me! So welcoming the link. Ta.
  • Very welcome!

Mark Hollis' solo album is great too, a natural follow on.

Does anyone know what's on the cover though?
  • Yes!
It fascinated me when I saw it on release. I thought it was possibly an eastern European biscuit but I found the correct answer reading an interview I think.
    Were you asking or testing?

Asking! I've always found it slightly disturbing for some odd reason.
  • News to me, too.

I love Mark Hollis, the album. One of my all-time favourite albums.

    It's Sardinian Easter bread.
