Summer clear out

edited August 2020 in For sale
Having a bit of a clear out to raise some funds to make up for some of my financial losses during lock-down.
You can see the for sale items on fleabay by clicking here.

Highlights include a Frankenstein's monster pair of Goodmans Magisters, and a pair of huge Goodmans Audiom 18P 18 inch drivers.
Loads of other drivers there too.

Edit... I have a second 18P driver to go with the one listed there. Will probably list them together soon.

If they could fit in the back corner of my sock drawer, then I'd keep them.
  • Have you read Marie Kondo?
  • Maybe I'm looking at this the wrong way around.
I should be stuffing my speakers with Kondo-rolled socks.

  • Oh no!
    Too much toe-in  :#
  • Boom-tish!
  • Goodmans Audiom 18P drivers now a pair...!
    See here.
  • That was a darned awful joke, Ben!

    A little footnote to this.
Some chap in London bought them and then sent them on to the far east.
He, or someone he knows, appears to be a vintage speaker aficionado. He kindly sent me this video of my old 18P drivers doing their stuff with a couple of other drivers (sans cabinet :-/ )...!
    Looks like fun.

  • Well, I'm openly baffled  :s

Sorry, gravedigging in this thread, but it's funny, i had a pair of Axiom 10s on ebay last year, bought by a guy in London who sends them on to the far east, maybe the same bloke, schong1 was his user id
  • Interesting.
That isn't the username of the account I sold to. But I suppose it could be the same person.
Unless it's a general trend / business approach...?
  • I did initially wonder if they are buying drivers like these to reverse engineer them and produce cheap copies, but i gather 'old British HiFi' has quite a fanbase in the far east so i suppose there's probably good margin in the originals - either way, making money is probably the motivation behind purchases like these, although i might be jaded and cynical !
