What Dac kit?

Hi all, for those that know me will be aware I'm a vinyl fanatic, but I
have a large cd collection. I have been looking at purchasing a DAC kit
for a little while now to plug into either my Phillips dvd963SE, Marantz
CD52 II, Cambridge audio DVD99 to elevate their CD performance. I have
no idea where to start. I like the idea of constructing one or
purchasing one of the Chinese DAC's from Ebay.

Any views would be welcome.

    I don't know about DAC kits, I'm afraid Dominic.

    You do know you get a special Audio Chews funny handshake if you buy a Young, don't you? :-)

    What about one of the kits by Peter Daniels from AudioSector? He is very highly regarded.

    They do look good, but I want to keep the budget to around £150 inc case and PS

    Sometimes they come up secondhand, especially as Tp are now using the 9018 ESS chip.
