  I haven't heard re:ECM or any of the other recent remix albums mentioned in this article, but I'm struggling to see much fresh here. Bill Laswell's Panthalassa remixes of Miles Davis' electric material and the re:Brahim remixes of Abdullah Ibrahim, at least, come to mind as much older albums in the same kind of area.
