Just installed it for a trial run. Seems quite funky, basic premise is it can play music from a multitude of sources/locations (local, network, Spotifiy, Grooveshawk, last.fm etc). Still early days and little control over actual playback settings that I can find. Still, worth taking a peek at, it is Open Source and free.
Yeah. I tried it a few months back and thought it was nowhere near ready for mainstream use. Like many Open Source projects it seems to be progressing slowly, but deserves to be kept an eye on.
But, more fundamentally for us on Chews, i don't think Tomahawk is aimed at audiophiles. I might find a place on my laptop somewhere along the line, though.
