How to manage your music library

edited October 2012 in Digital
I bought a very useful album artwork finder called Bliss

The software's author, Dan Gravell, has written this eBook on Music Library Management. Well worth a read IMO.

  • Hi Dave,

I've been using Bliss for about six months and it's superb.
It completely sorted my rather large and messy iTunes library in a couple of hours
    Definitely recommended.

  • I just wish it worked on AIFF files. But what does?

What format do you use for your iTunes library?

The author says he's open to suggestions, though, and if enough people want AIFF, he'll work on adding it.
  • Thanks for the kind words guys. If you have suggestions as to future topics to cover in a new edition, let me know, I'm keeping a list!
  • Thanks Dan

    Welcome to Chews, BTW.

Dave, 99% of the library is Apple Lossless, the remainder a mix of various lossy formats, mainly for downloaded audiobooks.

  • Yeah. I guessed that must be the case.

I don't think I'm going to convert all mine to ALAC.
