Just a new little venture to keep me busy :)

Specialising in Quad servicing and modification but everything considered.
If it's good kit (and we like it :)  ) we'll take a look at it.

    I wish you all the very bet with this - I really really hope you succeed. Are your 'eggs in one basket', so to speak - Or do you have another job to rely upon while this builds up?

    I saw some pics of your prototype amps on AudioFlat forum the other week - they looks really nice mate. Great styling - will you produce them? I know you are of the opinion there are plenty of competent amps on the market, but I think a few from the hinterland of HiFi forums would love to buy from people they know. And the styling was cool... ;)

    Would you care to relay why you named the company thus? I thought that too was really nice.

    Hi Alan,

    Thanks for the kind words.

    I used my time since leaving banking last year to put some effort into this project but I don't envisage it being a full time occupation. I don't think audio pays these days!
    It's intended so sit alongside whatever I decide to do longer term.

    The prototype you saw exists in near final form and a few people have heard it including Tony L and Steve Toy. Steve commented that it bettered a NAP250 but we had consumed a lot of beer at the time so I'll let him off and won't hold him to that comment :)

    Not sure about making it a production item. I'm more interested in a valve phono stage at present and that also exists in working form. I've had dealer interest in it which is nice.

    As for the name - Henry Thomas Baker, my late grandfather and the chap responsible for handing me a soldering iron as a child and encouraging me to get stuck in.
