Seca amplifier
Hi all
Just put it out on hear to see if anyone is interested iny seca that Colin made for me.
He did a fantastic job his workman ship is out of this world.
I am selling it as I belive I need more poke and to drive the speakers that I have.
The amp drives sensitive speakers with ease.
Pleases massage and post if your interested and all your thoughts are welcome.

IIRC they are 88db, 6 ohm load. They certainly arn't difficult to drive.
I've had decent levels off them with a mk1 Nait (15w)
How big is your room ?
But I didn't think it drove them early anoth.
If you like the sound of the SECA, I would stick with it, and find some speakers to suit.
Good luck what ever you decide to do
I do like the sound but I still believe it needs more.
Thanks quickie
How you feeling my friend any better.
...And a Claymore...

Ohwell may have to keep it and try make it bigger or sell it another way.
I'd like you to be using one of mine / yours.
Anytime you're passing by Gloucester call in and take one. :-)

So amp is still for sale.
Very very nice amp in fantastic condition.
Poor Colin who built it is not very well at the moment and I don't want to keep on at him to fulfil my needs.
Many thanks.

"Just went into the PIT and did check Ben we should be getting about 30+W/ch into 8 Gnomes and 38+W into 4 Gnomes" (my spakers are 4 ohms) a few posts down by yer...
(As posted elsewhere moments ago, the midrange drive units on my (93dB) speakers break up before the amp does. Absolutely no problem with a lack of amp power from the One4 in my setup).
Not sure how those figures relate to justshoemark's... What case is yours...? I think I remember Colin saying that the oversized heatsinks on the one I ended up using meant that it's able to handle a bit more power...? I ended up getting slightly larger toroids (can't remember if by accident or (Colin) design.
Obviously I have no idea what he actually did. I'm sure he could confirm or otherwise when he's feeling better.
Thanks for letting us know.
