Cd player upgrades

Hi all. Hope all are well.
Was just wondering what you can do to upgrade a cd player other then adding dac's.
Iv hurd people say about upgrade the clock but what is that? And what difference dose it make?

Did you ever change the valves?

Hi there.
Yes changed the valves in the fcd and it did make a difference.
But I was looking to upgrade an old kenwood cd player I have it was there top model it's a dp1100sg. There's not much info on the net about it. But it's built really well?

No probs, I use Dry Slide on the runners and cleaned the lens with lens cleaner for fibre optic,s replaced caps and my 35yr old Micromega was fantastic again.

"Dry Slide" is a lubricant for guns in contains Teflon so the friction is reduced.
