Archive.org releases 2,500 78rpm records
The Internet Archive folk have had audio engineers George Blood L.P. digitise 2,500 78rpm records and have uploaded them.
Apparently he used a turntable with four different needles which match what was popular at the time of the release of the record, they could then choose which recording was best. See the about section for a picture of the turntable.
There is of course jazz, so Mr Uglymusic will be happy.
