Colin's classic: Maggie MP250
A.C. MAGNUM MP-250
No real reason for posting this, other than the pics came out rather well this morning. I took them as I might be selling her on (I was asked), and I need to buy a bunch of tools. I already have a nice Wonfor Pre-amp, so a rare flash of common sense!
Although this was built after Colin's time with A.C. MAGNUM and was a slightly cheapened version (Mr Relph liked to shave on components), It has been updated and hot-rodded to be better than it ever was new (including a few fresh ideas from Col). The only thing we didn't modify the phono stage as I'm digital.
This amp was probably built the same time I was (early '80s?) but Colin is still updating and servicing his designs. Great service!

(No, not you, Col )
(An EWA / Royd extravaganza, I'm thinking...)
Come back and talk to Uncle Dave. I won't put you on the naughty step.
He got rid of his Royds.
He has TreeOngles now.
I think I had been informed. Didn’t write it down unfortunately...
Something like these (lifted from google image search)
Nice looking big speakers. And the sound is Roydeque...? Good stuff.
(That spike looks like a toe waiting to be impaled though! Ouch!)
