How to tell an issue 6 Claymore without lifting the lid. Is it possible?

    I used to think there were but have found out it is as Colin says.
    A few pointers that collectively "suggest" ISS6 but not definite.
    Smooth action volume control (not detented)
    Top panel not gloss finish
    3mm (as opposed to 5mm) LED power lamp, no gold circle printed around it
    4mm sockets on rear rather than binding posts
    Headphone socket on rear
    MC phono capable ( have to adjust dip switches on underside and try it )
