High pass filter in claymore

Evening. Quick question, my dad is using my old iss claymore. He’s having trouble with a 50hz tone from the turntable. Is it known whether anyone has fitted a high pass filter to a old claymore and how it  went?

    What's the turntable and why are you getting a 50Hz problem?
    What else is on the same electrical mains circuit?
    I'd be inclined to rectify the problem rather than apply a filter to the innocent party.

    Great news it will wreck  music as the hum is never in tune.
