A.C.Magnum fixes and upgrade

The Magnum, M100,and MF250 series and the original copy of my Oberon not the screwed up Relph versions I can up grade and fix.
The price will depend on what you need done. i.e. to replace those massive caps will cost more than just checking them out.
H-PAK FET.s will need a replacement PCB add on to covert to new FETS from 8Amps each to 28A each, and metalwork will also need to be adjusted for theses monsters. So do please contact me if you need help.

  • Great to have this level of upgrade!
  • Maybe I should have hung onto the Magnum IA125 I had a few years back...

No you did the best thing a sold it and bought a Claymore, did you not grrrr.
  • Oo Err Mrs, the claws are out ;)

Yes indeed, the Claymore beat off the Magnum, Exposure XV, Nait2-olive and an Audio Analogue Puccini SE original, that I somehow owned all at the same time.

Although I like most of the Farlowe Exposure gear (no experience of the Brady Bunch) the XV was very disappointing, especially when expecting a better X.

  • I like the Exposure kit some was bloody good, OK bass light but good, I like bass it is the only thing that moves my fat tum, that right ain't it Dave??
  • You do like da bass, Col, but that’s not the whole story.

I had a mate who went through virtually the whole Farlowe Exposure range in the late 80s. It was good, but it never really set my heart alight.

We both had Tannoy speakers and cd front ends, but the amps were different.
  • I had Tannoy Buckinghams and my Magnum M100 at 400W each in 1979. The Wall by Pink Floyd shock the house as the helicopter parked on the carpet, oh the house was on Canvey Island, and is now 12ft below sea level and not 6ft as before. A end terrace 3 bedroom, the neighbours hated me he he but my first wife was deaf and never heard a thing so I always made amp with good bass control so she could feel the earth move, I could never do it.
  • I’d love to have a detached house so I could play ugly music as loud as it deserves, but we have thinner walls than I’d like. And I like to keep on good terms with my neighbours.
