Claymore upgrade.

Well what can I say. Fantastic.
Sent my inca tech claymore back to its make sir Colin.
What a job he has done. He carried out a full upgrade so I now have the green light when it's turned on. Been recapped and given more output.
The bass line is fabulous Dose really deep and has a sweet but lively top end.
It's a joy to listen to it really is.

I would recommend  to anyone Who has one sens it to Colin and have him take a look and work his magic.
Thank you Colin your a legend.

I have just upgraded a Inca Tech Sabre, I was the only one that had Darlingtons and a P Channel FETs in the output,
The 2 4700uF caps changed and all other caps changed, and big FETs in the output bigger power diodes and Polycarbs Caps in the signal paths.
The power went up from 30W to 50W a channel, the source resistor also changed from  0.47R to 0.22R.
The bass was solid and the overall sound sweetened up.
This is first one I have done for Tony.

Not only was this the only Sabre with Darlings/FET output, but one that was stolen from Inca Tech at Canvey Island in1991. No by Tony, it was sold second hand to a dealer wheeler in Stanford Le Hope by unknown person, but I suspect it was the same guy who stole the only MSB amp.
The crock also stole all the artwork for Inca Tech designs,
  • These things still come around, don't they, Col?
  • Just think next time it needs a upgrade I will be 112yrs old cool. And still grumpy.
  • Sold a few Sabres back in the day.

Tony bought a pair of Mission 761 from me last week which he will be using with the amp.
  • Hi Paul and lots of Claymore and Gold mains plugs.
Tony my dad loved to visit you in the shop.
Found it freindy and loved the coffee.
    Merry Xmas old friend.
  • I have fond memories of your dad Col. Jim's coffee was legendary. Good times :)

Merry Christmas to you and Maria.
  • When Jim worked for Harrods he sold a he'll of a lot of Inca Tech Gold power connectors, and a few Claymores to Sultans and Prime ministers.
A fantastic and bluntly honest chap
  • I wonder if they still have them? Them being the kit, of course.
