Thanks S! Lovin' Audiochews lurch to the left today! I was on strike today in protest against the UK government's plan to raise my income tax by 3% under the guise of increased pension contributions. There is no crisis in teachers' pensions, the government's own independent report states this. What's worse is that the additional 3p in the £ that will come out of my pay is not going into the teachers' pension fund anyway - Mr. Osborne is using it to pay off the UK's defeceit that was created by the bank bail out. Have never been on strike before, but I wanted to give up my pay today, so outraged am I by the dishonesty and immorality of the UK government on this issue.
