PSU for Hiface 2

Hello,
happy Hiface Two owner here, I'm using with both a Linux box and a Mac Mini, and still trying to understand which one sounds better.

I'm thinking of powering the Hiface with an external PSU using something like this:

and an external adapter.

I have a custom PSU for an Onyo digital dock ND-S1 which provide 5V, what do you guys think? Should it work? It comes with a different plug, can I use a sort of adapter, or do i need to replace the plug entirely? I have no DIY skills unfortunately!
Any alternatives?
