"At least they're not dammed like the non-feminist females! Can you share the link some other way?"
Ah, Roxanne addresses this very issue of "feminism" for economically powerful, white educated women as a corruption of the term. So maybe that special hell will be a conference hall full of Madelienes and HIlarys!!
But mostly I like this talk in that I feel I have company as a "bad feminist" for finding those rap toonz so "darn catchy "
"That defeated me! I have it appearing in the editing screen, but it disappears when I Post comment."
same here. Darn those pesky, awkward feminists
At least they're not dammed like the non-feminist females! Can you share the link some other way?
Maybe...
Ha! It's on YouTube as well. Good thinking Batman!
Thank you! :-)
3 responses: 1. As Welsh Rugby supporter I'd get on well with her. She's chippy. 2. I feel very distant from most of what she is communicating. Even taking into account I'm not her audience. 3. "I find that when I'm a little bit brave...". I liked to hear this. I think because I perceive a sense of responsibility, agency and pride. :-)
Interesting and though provoking post.I’d love to chat further on it so could be a ‘’lounge’’ style
room here would facilitate that sort of thing better.Maybe this is not the time to endlessly go on about my own
personal history of resisting discrimination of any type.
They are just the tools used to divide us.
Anyhow some music whist I think on the subject further.
"Maybe this is not the time to endlessly go on about my own personal history of resisting discrimination of any type." What? Even against prog rock and boy bands ??

Reminds me of the old David Frost (I think) joke that went along the lines of:
"President Kennedy today met three African leaders. One was Haile Selassie. One was slightly selassie. And the other was not selassie at all". <Guffaw!>

I'm glad you like the Sonny Sharrock - with Elvin Jones! When he left Coltrane, so much of his music was near the mainstream, but whenever he did something left-field he was fantastic IMHO.
You bugger! Sun Ra was going to be my next choice. And Space is the Place, the track, not the movie as here. TBH, I haven't yet found the version I'm looking for.
If you like the Sidsel Endresen, you really should get hold of a proper copy. Like the Don Cherry, it's a fantastic recording. It has a great wash of electronics that doesn't seem to come through from YouTube.
Poor Dusty. Ornette knows how she's suffering, though:

So many memories connected to these songs!
13th floor elevators where at the forefront of early psychedelic music.
