I think they're very good. Don't you have Spotify?
Actually, Steve, from whom I bought the EVA, gave an invite which I will use. I rewarded him with an invitation to join here.
I spoke to Richard (Gromit) today, he just bought my DACMagic. He said he would try to find his invitation when he gets a few moments, but I can't send him a fresh one because the system already has him on record. Is there a way round that, O gruppennerdenfuhrer?

This is a tribute to Dusty - not quite covers (well, I suppose it is), but very special. All the same emotions as when Dusty sang them, but a different age, another woman...just as genuine. This album is so intimate I feel as if I'm eavesdropping a private performance.
It has that signature echo on the vocals that Phil Ramone likes so, but it all adds to the mood. There is so much detail & texture on this superbly played album - the musicianship is sparse & sympathetic. It is also warts & all, with all the little errors left in it.
Looking back on this post, it seems I may have given the impression I like this one...
I listened to lots of individual tracks as well tonight, test driving the new pre-amp.

I can't find my Derek & Clive but they're %^&£ anyway
Yes, the guvnor's son.
You don't like them then? One of my favourite bands. I was in North America in the 60s so remember them from my childhood.
Terrific stuff. The Soft Parade still sounds astounding.
Yeehaw!
Bit of a closet C&W fan then
Bit of a Marmite sound. SWMBO can't stand them, she thinks Morrison was evil. He probably was!
Oooh! Sad tracks; new thread needed. I'll have a think and get started.
Hurt is very good, love the piano sound he gets.
Definitely more detail going on there. Probably.

Not me!
:-O

Apart from God Only Knows (which has just about the best harmonies ever) I've never rated the rest of the album. C'est lavvy

A gorgeous roller-coaster ride.
