Kate Bush - Aerial - but only ever disc 2. Disc 1 too self-indulgent for my tastes. When you have to fall back on reciting pi for lyrics, someone should really tell you to stop what you're doing!

It called to me from my JRiver to turn it up full blast and engage in full on living room dancing in anticipation of the weekend and celebration of good friends. Feck I love good music and loud hifis!!!

Great! (Who are these "good friends" of whom you speak...?)
It's Ok. Don't like the SQ though. The snare drum sounds like it's been coated in an inch of treacle. All the top end is rolled off. Disappointment delivered at least every other beat... :-( (And all very compressed, not a lot of air between sounds and instruments.) I'm not an audiophile snob, honest! But, I'm not sure I can make it through this album because of the muddy and flat snare drum.
...From that wonderfully creative genre of mid-90s hip-hop: Horrocore... Don't listen to "A visit to the Gynecologist" (about half way through) if you're alone in the house Dave. Or if you must, turn on all of the lights first.

This is absolutely my favourite horrorcore album (and is in my top 10 all time favourite albums!) from The Gravediggaz... (It ended up being called "6 Feet Deep" in the US, but the original and brilliant title "Niggamortis" remained on the album sleeve in the UK):
Dr Octogan slightly giving me the willies tbh. And am also getting flashbacks now of Mr Bungle:
Mr. Bungle – The Girls Of Porn I think possibly my younger brother's favourite tune as a teenager. I'm not sure what that says about our household. Apologies to those with delicate sensibiities (ie those of you who arent Dave or Ben!!)

I think I'll be treating you with more respect next time I see you Ben :-)
A truly special line-up. Whether it's a successful album depends on if you're fan of David Murray. Tyner (playing freer here than anywhere else I can think of), Hopkins and Jones are magnificent. Murray, as always to my ears, doesn't quite cut it.

Makes me realise that JB's usual performance was basically a secularisation of a godspell minister's charismatic performance.
Superb musician and performer.
(Flawed human being!)
