It's one of those crap ideas from the classical world, I suspect. Playing some of that pop music to keep up with the times. Only the times were 40 years ago!

George Adams/Don Pullen Quartet - Earth Beams

Strangely forgotten offshoot of Charles Mingus' last bands, with Cameron Brown replacing the recently deceased Mingus and Mingus' long-time drummer Dannie Richmond.

They recorded this immediately they finished a tour. If they generated this much energy in a studio, what were they like on that tour?
