@Smiffy That's three out of four that I don't know!
I'll have to give them a listen when I get a bit of time. Up to my elbows in paint this weekend
This is the great thing about sharing what we listen to - I've made some really good finds on Spotify and YouTube, happy to add to other people's listening pleasure as others have previously added to mine ๐

Interesting band these guys. Somewhere between the likes of Karnivool and Shinedown. Their latest offering is not quite in line with their superior, previous efforts IMHO.

Several books by Joe Nesbo, Bill Bryson, Robert Ludlum and a few in between. Current struggling a bit with Mervyn Peake (did at school, never got on with it just thought I would give it another go) Happy days.
Interesting list.
I'm not sure about what I've read of Jo Nesbo (two or three Harry Hole books). But I have read a huge amount of Scandinavian Noir in amongst my crime novel fixation.
I love Bill Bryson's travel writing.
I've never read Robert Ludlum or Mervyn Peake. Maybe I should.
Deep Purple and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at the Albert Hall with Malcolm Arnold conducting. A well thought out piece of music and no " Smoke on the Water"
I was about to find Terry Riley's A Rainbow in Curved air on YT, but then I found I'd posted it here three times before! So, I'll just mention it, in case you liked it before and want a bit of light rotation
I haven't listened to anything since my last post for some reason , tv ,radio, hifi just irritates something in me, i dont know why, its all just noise and i cant tolerate it.
I overheard an old classic that had been rehashed very badly and used as a soundtrack in a tacky Asian drama my lovely wife was watching. The brain was a wreck, I just couldn't place it. I was thinking old Franky boy with a song name of "Summer" something. Anyway, after hours of anguish I finally zeroed in on Summer Wine, the NANCY Sinatra version!

That's a shame.
Mind you, I didn't listen to much music this weekend. And only a few podcasts.

I thought I didn't know the song, until I played it.
I can't see me playing it, though. Although I can see it's good in its own way.
A fantastic band - Corea on piano, Micheal Brecker on sax, Eddie Gomez on bass and Steve Gadd on drums. Amazing chops, but where's the emotion? They turn out this stuff without breaking into a sweat (IMHO).
A lesser-known Ornette album, a soundtrack for an obscure movie from the mid-1960s. A little too much of Ornette's violin and trumpet for my ears, but it's the David Izenson (bass) and Charles Moffett (drums) trio from Live at the Golden Circle, so it's worth a listen
If you liked A Year From Easter, let's go a little further out with another Christian Wallumrod project
Dans Les Arbres
The album isn't on YT, but there's a live gig that I haven't listened to all the way through. For the album, check out your friendly local streaming service.
FWIW, I find it best to let it flow over and around me rather than trying to figure out the music.

Good luck with the painting ๐
Absolutely!
That means I liked it

Nope, not them.
I thought I'd let myself open to that one
UFO? UFO?? I'm going to have to listen to UFO?
Couldn't possibly let that one pass without reaction
Aye laddy, with Micheal Schenker on board before he boo-gered off!
A well thought out piece of music and no " Smoke on the Water"

You back on the ear bendin'?
I remember my parents watching him on the telly.
