Well, I've played it all through and haven't been bowled over. But I did think it got better as I went through. Maybe it's better towards the end, or maybe I was getting into it more.
I love the five or six albums recorded by Brackeen and trumpeter Dennis Gonzalez in Texas around 1987 on Silkheart. Don't ask me which is best. They're all good - some are under Brackeen's name. Others under Gonzalez's.
