Art Pepper's comeback album from 1975 more than hints at what's to come, but he hasn't learnt how to pour himself into his horn the way he would do after a while back gigging.
A fantastic ECM piano trio with Gary Peacock and Paul Motian. I love this kind of stuff, the way it has space and there's almost always a pulse running through it, if only an implied pulse.
I still wonder what will happen to this tributary of jazz now that Motian has passed.
Scratch Perverts "badmeaningood". From track 13. Really good and diverse toonz, selected and mixed well. Hip-hop, soul, ragga, drum'n'bass tracks all knitted together expertly.
If you're a fan of jazz piano trios and haven't got a copy, why not? :-)
LIstening now on Spotify. I don't 'get' it but I can appreciate the musicianship.....the drumming is spectacular. The guy on the piano isn't bad either ;-)

There is a high bitrate feed now (328kbps)which I think you can get on iTunes too.
Has anyone had trouble refreshing their iTunes radio lists? Mine can't do it reliably, and hangs. This is interfering with my remote app.
:-O )
