Back to the van for a coffee break at 11:30, its a grey day for window cleaning. I caught Alison Goldfrapp's 'tracks of my years' on Radio 2 andn caught some Marvin Gaye, then Nick Drake.
Sonny Rollins at Ronnie's in '74, recorded off BBC4 over the weekend.
Edit: What a fantastic gig! Rollins is in brilliant form, and the band is interesting (bagpipes?). If you can get it on BBC iPlayer, you must give it a look.

I wonder if it's available on CD?
Don't forget the kilt Dave !! Otherwise great set.
Not sure SWMBO appreciated it, but that's why she loves me :-) Or is that what I tell myself?
Anyway, this morning we had:
Getting to like this more over time. I was expecting it to be less 'mainstream' that it appeared to be on my first listenings, and indeed, it might prove to be more interesting than I thought.
For all his reputation as an avant-gardist, Bang's finest hour isn't a difficult listen from the musical point of view (although it's about the effect of the Vietnam war on Bang). To my ears it's simply one of the most essential jazz albums of the 21st Century.
Siouxsie and the Banshees at the BBC. Savage stuff. When they hit their peak in 1981 it really was a peak.
Best of Dave Brubeck. Less savage stuff, and great recordings.
Faust IV. The alternative take of 'Jennifer' is amazing.
XTC. Apple Venus volume 2. For much of last Friday night I thought I had that song on the DFS advert. Knew it was either Squeeze or XTC and finally found it, thereby rediscovering a great record in the process.
Dunno. I was listening on my office system - that makes everything into Redbook.
I noticed that the Koln I had on the NAS wasn't the 24/96 one I thought it was, so I copied a new AIFF set from the purchased FLACs and wanted to make sure it was OK.
