R.E.M. 'Lifes Rich Pageant' (apparently deliberately without an apostrophe). A little patchy, but starts with four of the band's best ever tracks.
Must say I am tempted by the David Torn 'Prezens' mentioned on the previous page. I was lucky enough to see him with David Sylvian a couple of times in 1988, he really gave that band some power. Strangely for a Bruford fan, I have never got around to getting 'Cloud Around Mercury'.When funds come through a couple purchases I think I must make.

I've never had a copy of Cloud About Mercury either, but Prezens is one of my favourite albums. I hope you love it too.
Live in Taipei is not the place to start with Masada. The recording quality is somewhere around bootleg. At Tonic is much better, if you want live. Otherwise, start with Alef, the first of the ten studio albums.
Underworld 'Beaucoup Fish', 'A Hundred Days Off' and 'Pearls Girl'(Various CD single tracks).
I must say that Yes 'Close to the Edge' is one of my very favourite albums, and in reference to the rhythm section thread, that album has my favourite drumming and bass playing on it, let alone Steve Howe and Rick Wakeman's playing.
