  • Somewhere amongst my vinyl is an LP of TV Cartoon theme tunes.  Scooby-Doo, Thunderbirds, Spiderman etc.  That might go on soon.

Heavenly performances. Stunning recording (24/192) - the best I've heard.

Then, in order to lower the tone:

Lowell George - Thanks I'll eat it here
    Little Feat - Dixie Chicken

  • John McLaughlin - Live at the Royal Festival Hall

But I'll probably get bored with it in a minute.
  • Was:

    John McLaughlin - Extrapolation
David Murray - David Murray (NYC 1986)

    Not Was:

Julian Siegal Trio - Live at the Vortex

An excellent live recording that's sounding fantastic over the Young, with mega NY rhythm section of Greg Cohen and Joey Baron. I saw them at the Turner Sims in Southampton a couple of years back. I do like that concert hall.

Keith Jarrett - Death and the Flower

Alan, this gets my recommendation for one of Jarrett's best 70s albums. It's with the American Quartet, plus a percussionist.
  • Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan - Star Rise: Remixes
  • Nils Lofgren - acoustic live
  • Pat Metheny - One Quiet Night
  • Paul Motian - Dance

David Bowie 'BBC Radio1 50th birthday session 1997' Wonderful mostly acoustic session, especially Andy Warhol Quicksand and Alladin Sane.
  • Robert Wyatt - The End of an Ear
  • Spring Heel Jack - Amassed
  • Talk Talk - Laughing Stock
  • Tethered Moon - Experiencing Tosca

What a crap title! But it's a very nice piano trio album.
  • Talk Talk - Laughing Stock
A wonderful album and in my all time Top 10........
  • Thomas Mapfumo - Vanhu Vaterna

Fantastic rhythms and Mapfumo's characteristic croaky vocals from Zimbabwe.
  • Van Morrison - Astral Weeks
  • U2 - Rattle & Hum
